Review
ISOBURN is a free and easy-to-use application to help you burn ISO files into a recordable CD or DVD. If needed, this program can also make a full verification of the burnt files to make sure they match exactly the ones included in the ISO image. Besides, if the media you are using is rewritable (CD-RW or DVD-RW), you can also erase its contents beforehand with this tool.
Its one-screen interface serves perfectly the simple and straightforward functionality available. The few settings offered to the user are all present in its main and only window, and deal mainly with the different recording speeds, the possibility of verifying and closing the disc after burning, and the erasing of your rewritable media. This process can be performed in two different ways – either by erasing the table of contents of the disc (the quick way), or by actually erasing all the data present in it.
The program can be launched just by right-clicking on the ISO image file, and then selecting the option that appears in your Windows context menu. Regrettably, ISOBURN does not seem to support double-layer recordable DVDs, only standard CDs and so-called DVD5s. |
